DIVING SERVICES has been in operation in Qatar for the last 20 years. Prior to being taken over by HOSC, the division was working as an offshoot of the Qatar Navigation.

Diving Support Vessel Hire, Diving and ROV Services

At present DIVING SERVICES owns two diving support vessels Khattaf and Al Huwaila, complete with integrated diving and ROV segments. These marine and diving spreads are currently chartered to Qatar Petroleum on a long term contract for 5 years under GTC/190/2002.

Since 1994 DIVING SERVICES had been utilizing ROVs to perform underwater surveys and support offshore sub sea operations. One Seaeye Tiger, a Survey Class ROV and one Seaeye Panther, a work class ROV, were purchased from the UK. In July 2002 DIVING SERVICES obtained two more ROVs, both sub-Atlantic Mohawks. The Mohawks ROV are state of the art Survey Class ROVs with fibre optic video systems. The Mohawk ROVs are on board the two Dive Support Vessels; DSV Al-Huwaila and DSV Khattaf.

Saturation System
Vessel Khattaf is equipped with a Saturation system. In addition DIVING SERVICES is in the process of acquiring a modular saturation system which will be available for hire.
